Simple Auditions

• Theatre companies: only 41 days left to get a free listing!

  For this site to work it needs two things:

  First, lots of awesome actors checking out the listings.

  Second, lots of awesome theatre companies posting audition listings.

  I recognize how much I need your help to create this community, so I'll tell you what — I promise to take care of the first thing if you can help me out with the second. To make the decision that much easier, I'm offering every theatre company in Chicago one free audition listing.

  All you need to do is shoot me an e-mail before October 15, 2010 and I'll hook you up with your free audition. It's that easy.

• Why?

  Like most actors, I've got a day job for those times when theatre doesn't pay the bills (i.e. most times). My day job just happens to involve building web sites. There are literally hundreds of amazing tools online that help me succeed as a web designer and developer. Sadly, there are very few that help me as an actor or a director. And those that do exist are bulky, badly designed and ask too much of my already addled attention span.

  Simple Auditions is an attempt to remedy this issue. And it's just the tip of the iceberg.

  Theatre companies are only just beginning to use technology to their advantage. My main goal -- aside from making art of my own -- is to support theatre in the way that I know best: by bringing it into the 21st century. What does that mean for you? Less administrative bullshit so you can focus on your true love -- your art.

• Support
